Research Support Programs

The Ramón Areces Foundation coordinates its Research Support Programs through national competitions open to teams from the whole national territory.

Life and Matter Sciences Grants are convened every two years, while Social Sciences Research Grants are convened every year. In both cases, they are multi-year projects that last three years. In 2021, 95 research projects were underway - 64 in Life and Matter Sciences - corresponding to the programs awarded in 2019 and 2021-, and 31 Social Sciences projects awarded in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

The total amount granted to these projects is €8,490,829. In 2021 the allocated amount was €2,779,454.

The list of the different projects, the names of the main researchers, their research centers, and the scientific production of each of them are included in the heading "Scientific Report".

Communications to national and international congresses

In life and material sciences, the aim is to promote Spanish scientific research, particularly in those areas that require special attention due to their relative orphan status or their special interest for today's society.
