It is an obvious fact that education is a condition of the first order in the growth and development of individuals and societies. In Spain, education (and the education system) poses complex problems whose analysis has not just provided an exact diagnosis of what is happening nor a clear line of solution. Perhaps the time has come to change the perspective from which it is usually approached.
